We carefully consider the benefits of each technology before deciding to invest in it, and we only adopt ones that are worth the investment, not for us, but for you. Read on and you will learn how working with a high-tech dentist benefits you.
Technology Helps You Make Informed Decisions
When it comes to dental care, it’s important that you know enough to decide which procedures are right for you, and which ones you’d rather do without. Working with a high-tech dentist ensures you have that information. Intraoral cameras and digital x-rays allow you to see exactly what your dentist sees. You don’t have to take his word for it because you can’t see inside your mouth or read tiny bitewing pictures. Instead, it’s right there in front of you to see on our chairside monitors. Digital imaging and wax-ups allow you to envision the results of a certain procedure, so you can see that, too.
In addition, we offer CAESY patient education so you can read up on all your options to become educated about the procedures.
Technology for Your Comfort and Convenience
Other technologies allow your high-tech dentist to perform procedures that are more comfortable and convenient for you. CEREC same-day crowns allow us to make your dental crowns while you wait, so you don’t have to wear a temporary crown and return for another visit when the crown comes back from the lab.
iTero digital imaging is a total game-changer. Now there’s no need for you to to bite down into plastic goo to make an impression. This makes your impressions faster and more comfortable.
Soft-tissue lasers allow us to perform gum disease treatment and cosmetic gum procedures without using a blade on your gums. This means much less discomfort, little to no bleeding, and quicker recovery. It also makes it easier for us to perform minor gum contouring spontaneously when it will benefit other cosmetic dentistry procedures.
Invisalign allows you to get straighter teeth without relying on metal braces. The removable clear plastic aligners mean you can eat all your favorite foods and require no special cleaning.
Our dental imaging and x-rays also allows us to contact your insurance provider directly to ensure they see all necessary diagnostic information for coverage. Your high-tech dentist takes care of this, so you don’t have to worry about it.
Technology for Better Results
Many technologies improve your high-tech dentist’s ability to give you great results. CEREC crowns and tooth-colored fillings aren’t just more convenient, they’re beneficial, too. They are all-ceramic crowns that have excellence color match and in many cases outperform competing treatments.
With iTero, tooth impressions are going to be more accurate. That’s because there’s no mush that can have air pockets or voids, and you don’t have to bite down in it just right to make an accurate impression. We can send those impressions directly to the lab, and they get all the information digitally, so there’s no risk a damaged cast will lead to the wrong size or shape crown. Plus we can keep the impressions on file so they’re ready in the future if you need a replacement crown or if you’re getting another treatment like a sleep apnea appliance or a bite guard.
Six Month Smiles allows you to get the straighter smile you desire, only faster. Especially considering the speed of treatment, the results are amazing.
Our TENS unit and J-5 myomonitor allow us to precisely diagnose and expertly treat TMJ so you can have a more comfortable bite that won’t damage your teeth or restorations.
One of the challenges of orthodontics is the length of treatment. But with Propel Orthodontics, we have two ways to speed up your treatment. We can actually cut it in half!
The VPRO5 is a small device that you bite down on at home. When you turn it on, it vibrates, which simulates the action of many natural tooth movements (such as chewing) to help accelerate the orthodontic process.
Alveocentesis is a special technique in which we make tiny holes in your bone. This doesn’t hurt any more than regular orthodontic treatment, but it stimulates your bone healing mechanisms, which helps the bone to reshape around the teeth.
Both procedures safely cut your treatment time in half–you can choose which is a better fit for you.
