FAQs

My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?
Bleeding gums indicate gingivitis and possibly advanced gum disease. Our hygienist can educate you on effective flossing and brushing techniques to help eliminate the problem, but you do need to make an appointment for a thorough evaluation. Gum disease can lead to serious oral health complications and should never be ignored.

How long will my whitening treatment last?
Normally, teeth whitening lasts five to seven years. Drinking dark beverages, smoking, or consuming alcohol can reduce this time. Ask Dr. Strober for hints on maintaining your teeth’s brilliance.

What do you do to maintain a safe and sterilized environment?
Your safety is important to us, so we sterilize our reusable instruments in an autoclave and use disposable products as much as possible. Each operatory is cleaned thoroughly between patients. We adhere to guidelines set by the CDC and OSHA and perform weekly tests on our sterilization equipment.
