Meet Your Dentist

Dr. Rod Strober

Dr. Strober graduated from Skidmore College in 1989 with a strong science and liberal arts background and continued on to The State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. There he was able to combine his love of art and science into a career as a general and cosmetic dentist. After graduating in 1993, he moved to Boston, MA, where he successfully practiced for 14 years. Growing tired of all the cold, snowy winters, Dr. Strober jumped at the opportunity to move to sunny San Diego where he was able to start practicing on his own.

With a commitment to providing the very best for his patients, Dr. Strober is heavily involved with local and regional associations including the CDA the SDCDS, ADA, AGD and the IACA. Since advancements in dental technology and procedures occur so frequently, he is constantly attending seminars, and joining peer groups in order to stay abreast of all the latest materials and techniques. Most recently, he was honored with a Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry here in San Diego.

Dr. Strober is a recognized Invisalign Premiere Provider, having successfully completed over 250 orthodontic cases without the use of metal wires or brackets. This revolutionary approach to tooth movement has become a very successful and rewarding part of his practice.

As a student of The Las Vegas Institute, Dr. Strober is also known as a Neuromuscular Dentist, having developed the knowledge and compassion to help individuals who suffer from debilitating headaches or migraines, TMJ pain and jaw problems, severely worn down teeth, neck aches, dizziness., tingling in the fingertips and many other discomforts that can be associated with their bite. At LVI, Dr. Strober has been introduced to some of the leading dentists and dental teams in the nation, who have shared their cutting-edge practices and protocols and greatly influenced him to be the best dentist possible.

Dr. Strober incorporates all these principles and philosophies, acquired over the last 15 years, and has created a Concierge-style Dental practice with State-of-the-Art equipment that allows his Guests to experience a Dental visit that exceeds all expectations.

Meet Our Team

Teresa - Hygienist Therapist

Teresa has been in the field of dentistry for over 20 years. She finds working as a dental hygienist a very exciting and rewarding career. " I love making a difference with in my patients health by working as a partner with them in obtaining and maintaining optimum oral health."

Teresa is a 1994 Cabrillo College Dental Hygiene graduate and has since worked in various types of dental offices including a periodontic office. "I feel very fortunate to be a part of the Strober Dental team which allows me access to the most current state of the art technology (including laser), so I can comfortably treat my patients to the highest standard of care available."

Rosie - Schedule Coordinator/Treatment coordinator

Performing the tasks of two people, Rosie is one of our dental assistants helping Dr. Strober relax our patients so they feel welcomed and she is also the Scheduling coordinator making patient appointments. Always there to lend a helping hand she is a great help to Marcella at the front desk as well as helping in the back office. Without a doubt it is Rosie’s bubbly personality and great attitude that make her a pleasure to have on the TEAM. Rosie loves the professional and friendly environment of our office, as well as the fact that patients’ needs are attended to in a timely manner.

The mother of three children, she has recently become a grandmother and loves spending time with her family. Rosie considers herself a “people person” and loves to talk, so feel free to visit with her.

Rhiannon - Treatment Coordinator

As a dental assistant, Rhiannon works closely with Dr. Strober to help our “guests” feel welcomed and comfortable. Having graduated from the Bryman School of Phoenix, Arizona in 2002, she moved here to be closer to her sister and enjoy the beautiful San Diego weather. She feels extremely fortunate to find Dr. Strober and to be part of the Strober Dental Team. Rhiannon also loves the beach, kayaking, bike riding and finding new adventures.

Marcella - Lead Coordinator

As lead coordinator, Marcella’s friendly face is the first you’re likely to see when you enter our practice. She has ten years in her profession and is well equipped to answer all of your questions about insurance or finance. A graduate of Grossmont College in Dental Assisting, she is currently studying there for a degree in business.

Marcella belongs to the Registered Dental Assistants Association and loves dealing with the patients at our practice. She says her passion is to go the extra mile with patients who need more attention, and she loves working with Dr. Strober because he is passionate about the art of dentistry.

Outside the office, she enjoys history and loves to travel as much as possible. Marcella also enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

John - Office manager

Graduating college with a BA in Economics and also obtaining his Paralegal degree, John has been working with Strober Dental since Day one. John handles Human Resource related issues in the practice as well as acting as the office CFO. You also might see John at the front Desk and answering the phones, but he is best at taking care of the TEAM and is often seen running to Starbucks for the office coffee run.
